Yes, internet marketing can work for small business.
It’s not necessary to throw a lot of money at it, to make it work. If you don’t, though, you have to throw a lot of time and energy at it, and a lot of creativity. And whichever path you use, you need to be somewhat smart or extremely lucky.
You can’t just sit there, do nothing, and expect to succeed.
Most of the “big boys” are in the United States, because the internet started out as a project of the US Department of Defense, so that researchers and defense contractors could easily communicate electronically. In fact, the internet was designed to be “self-healing” so that if someone nuked Chicago, people working in California could still communicate with people working in Massachusetts.

it is working well for this company and it started very small,have a look at http://www.equisportz.com and that started just over 12 months ago and is now a multi milion dollar business.we ,as you will see ,are based in China.,and supply products to the states among others.

It is all about targetting ur ads/liks to the right location and to the right users,,i m still experimenting.And all big players are in US bcos it has most no. of buyers in the world.
